Saturday June 1st, Laura Ferrall will review with student’s chaptered legislation for 2012 impacting residential care as well the most current regulatory updates and other pertinent information to operate your facility. Sunday, June 2nd , Instructor, Ofelia Angeles brings to students the required RCFE Administrator Alzheimer’s and dementia training program covering regulatory requirements, communication techniques, medications and how to set proper expectations for Alzheimer’s residents and their families.

Saturday, April 20th ,  Trainer, Samuel de Guzman, RCFE Administrator/LVN  will bring his expertise to the classroom and give students the required information for a successful resident admission which always start with a proper resident assessment.  He will also address basic infection prevention and control in a residential care setting.

Sunday, April 21st, Samuel will be back to work with students on how to keep their RCFE/ARF medication system in compliance.  He will also address continual resident observation and reporting as well as caring for frail residents with a focus on skin care. Saturday, March 16th I am pleased to have trainer Stephanie Brynjolfson work with students on their marketing and business development skills. The training will address successful marketing strategies, how to successfully handle resident inquires and comply with resident admissions and regulatory requirements.

Sunday, March 17th, Stephanie will be back to provide a full day of the required CEU Alzheimer’s/dementia training. She will address setting the proper expectations for Alzheimer’s residents and their families as well as implement an activity program to help manage Alzheimer’ resident behaviors. Saturday, February 23rd, Sharmone La Rose brings to students a Resident Life Engagement training program which includes meaningful resident activity including the latest techniques for improving memory. The training will also address activity programs for residents with dementia.
